Jim is a graduate of Carroll Kuemper High School.  He and his wife, Kathy, are very proud of their four daughters and one son who live and work from east to west coast. Additionally, Jim has a number of siblings living in Iowa and Nebraska.  Jim has been both a business owner and practicing attorney.  He practiced in Sioux City, Iowa and Bloomington, Indiana for a number of years prior to joining the McGinn Law Firm.  He has been a member of the Board of Directors, Sioux Trails Girl Scouts, coached recreational soccer for 14 seasons and enjoys golf and travel.
